Exhibition and event carpet in Dubai, laid at the venue
We supply exhibition carpet for stands and aisles, and event carpet, red carpet included, for the entrances, stages and VIP areas of launches, galas and weddings. Our own fitters, never subcontractors, lay it at the venue anywhere in Dubai, and lift it after the show if you ask. Send your stand size and show dates for a price. For a show outside Dubai, ask first: we take those case by case.

How much exhibition carpet does your stand need?
Multiply the width by the depth: a 6 × 3 m stand is 18 m² of floor. Most exhibition carpet comes off a roll of fixed width, so a stand wider and deeper than the roll takes lengths joined side by side, and leaves an offcut where the roll does not divide it evenly. Carpet tiles go in whole tiles. Set your stand's size above to redraw it: 3 × 3 m.
| Stand | Floor area | In square feet | Off a 3 m roll |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 × 3 m | 9 m² | About 97 sq ft | One 3 m length, no join |
| 10 × 10 ft booth | 9.3 m² | 100 sq ft | About 5 cm over: one piece off a 4 m roll, or 3 m wide with the gap at a wall |
| 6 × 3 m | 18 m² | About 194 sq ft | One 6 m length, no join |
| 6 × 6 m | 36 m² | About 388 sq ft | Two 6 m lengths, one join |
| 9 × 6 m | 54 m² | About 581 sq ft | Two 9 m lengths, one join |
| 12 × 6 m | 72 m² | About 775 sq ft | Two 12 m lengths, one join |
A 3 m roll is a common width, used here as the example; a 10 × 10 ft booth is the standard size at American shows. Where a stand's depth equals the roll width, check the roll's actual width: one a centimetre or two narrow leaves a gap at an edge.

Inline, corner, peninsula or island: why do the open sides matter?
An inline stand has one side open to the aisle, a corner stand two, a peninsula three and an island all four. Each open side is an edge the carpet has to finish neatly, cut straight and taped down, or trimmed at a platform's edge, so no one catches a foot. Tell us which sides are open when you send the size.

How wide is an exhibition carpet roll?
Needle-punch is usually made in rolls 2 to 4 m wide, each running to tens of metres, and the roll width that goes evenly into your stand's width or depth wastes least. A 6 × 3 m stand takes 18 m² off a 3 m roll with no join, but 24 m² off a 4 m roll.

Which exhibition carpet suits your stand?
For most stands, flat needle-punch: the thin felt on trade show and expo floors in Dubai and across the region, light to lay and economical for a show of a few days. Velour, a needle-punch with its face raised into a short, dense, velvety pile, suits a lounge or a VIP area. Carpet tiles suit exhibitors who show often. Ask us which of them we can supply for your show; we bring samples to the visit.
| Needle-punchFlat felt, plain or ribbed | VelourA needle-punch with a short, soft pile | Carpet tilesSquares or planks that lift and go down again | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Look | Flat and matt; the ribbed kind has fine raised lines. | A soft, even pile with a slight sheen. | Squares or planks, laid in rows or a pattern. |
| Underfoot | Firm and thin. | Softer and quieter. | Firm, on a heavy backing that lies flat. |
| Suits | Large stands, aisles and shows of a few days. | Lounges, VIP areas and red carpet entrances. | Exhibitors who show often and keep their own floor. |
| After the show | Usually laid once. | Can go down again if lifted with care. | Made to lift, store and lay again. |
Carpet tiles have a page of their own: office carpet tiles, the same squares many offices are floored in.
What is needle-punch carpet?
Needle-punch, also called needle felt, is neither woven nor tufted: barbed needles punch again and again through a loose web of polypropylene or polyester fibres until the fibres tangle into a dense felt, and most grades are then coated on the back, usually with latex, to bind them. Needle-punched carpet is thin, light and economical, and it cuts cleanly without fraying. Ribbed needle-punch has fine ribs formed in its face that help hide dirt and wear in a busy aisle. Velour is made the same way, with its face raised into a short, soft pile.

Does exhibition carpet have to be fire-rated?
Usually, yes. Venues set fire-safety rules for everything on a stand, flooring included, and many ask for the carpet's fire certificate before build-up. Your exhibitor manual says what yours needs: send us the requirement with your stand size, and ask whether our carpet meets it.
Which colour works best on an exhibition stand?
Mid and dark greys hide footprints and dust over a long show. Black looks sharp on opening day but shows lint and packaging scraps; white and pale colours mark quickly. A brand colour, a strong blue or a red, helps visitors spot the stand from the aisle. Send us your colour reference, and we bring our closest samples to the visit.

Space only or shell scheme: do you need your own carpet?
On a space-only stand, yes: you rent bare hall floor, and you or your stand builder bring everything, flooring included. A shell scheme stand usually comes with walls, a fascia (the name board above the front) and a basic floor covering from the organiser, so check your exhibitor manual first, and order carpet when you want your own colour or a better floor than the package gives.
Space only: on the floor or a platform
The stand's flooring is yours to bring. Many space-only stands sit on a raised platform that hides the cables and levels the floor: the carpet is cut to the platform's edge, where a trim usually finishes the front. Without one, it is taped straight to the hall floor.
Shell scheme: over or instead of the package floor
The package floor is often one standard colour for the whole row. Carpet over it, or in its place where the organiser allows, gives the stand your own colour and a better feel underfoot.
Aisles, foyers and halls
The event flooring around the stands, in aisles, foyers, conference rooms and event halls, is laid in long lengths with the joins running along the walk, not across it. For a banquet or wedding hall carpeted for good, see wall-to-wall carpet.
Outdoor events
On swept paving, event carpet can be taped down. On sand or a lawn it needs a firm, level base and its edges pegged or weighted against wind, since tape will not hold; a lawn covered for days can yellow underneath. For strong sun, ask whether we have outdoor needle-punch in UV-stabilised polypropylene. For a lawn look, see artificial grass; for a terrace, outdoor carpet.
How much does exhibition carpet cost in Dubai?
The price depends on your stand's size and the carpet you choose, or for a red carpet on the length and width of the walk. Our own fitters lay it at the venue, and lift it after the show if you ask. For your price, send your sizes and show dates on WhatsApp, or book the free visit in Dubai and we price it there.

Can I hire the carpet instead of buying it?
We supply the carpet for your show and lay it, and lift it after if you ask. To rent it instead, so it comes back to us after the event, ask us on WhatsApp whether we can. Event carpet rental matters most for velour, a velour red carpet runner included, since velour lifted with care can go down again.
How far ahead of the show should I order?
As soon as your stand size is fixed: your colour has to be available and our fitters free inside your build-up window, which the hall shares with every stand builder and electrician on site. Ask us how far ahead we need the order when you send the size, and if your show is close, ask on WhatsApp whether we can still make your build-up.

When is exhibition carpet installed at the venue?
During build-up, the days before the show opens when the stands go up, by our own fitters, at a time set from your show dates. On a space-only stand the floor normally goes down first, before walls and furniture arrive, so it runs under them. Exhibition carpet is usually unrolled across the stand, cut to size, joined where lengths meet and taped down along the sides open to the aisle.

Why is new carpet covered in film during build-up?
Build-up is dusty work: walls go up, furniture is wheeled in, paint goes on. Many stand builders keep a clear carpet protection film over the new floor until the last evening of build-up, then peel it off for a clean carpet on opening day. If yours does, tell us when you book, so the carpet goes down early enough for the film to go over it before the walls go up.
Do you supply red carpet for events in Dubai?
Yes. We supply red carpet alongside our exhibition carpet: a runner for an entrance, a walkway or an aisle, or a full red floor for a stage or a VIP area. Our own fitters lay it before the event anywhere in Dubai, and lift it after if you ask. Send the size (the walk's length and width, or the area's width and depth), the venue and the date for a price.
Entrance and walkway
A red carpet runner from the door, or from where the cars stop, to the reception, often lined with posts and rope. Measure the walk in metres, and tell us if it crosses a step, a ramp or a kerb.
Stage and steps
Stage carpet covers a stage, a podium or a run of steps, cut to the platform. On steps it is fixed tight to every tread and over each nosing so nothing slides or lifts, and the front edges are finished neatly so nobody catches a heel. Send the stage's width and depth, and the number of steps with their width.
Wedding aisle
A wedding aisle runner lies between the rows of chairs, from the entrance to the kosha, the decorated stage where the couple sit. Measure the aisle's length and its width between the chairs. White and ivory are common for weddings; ask us for the colours we can bring. A pale runner marks quickly, so it is best laid as close to the ceremony as the venue allows.
VIP and gala areas
A full red floor under a VIP lounge, a photo wall or a gala entrance, laid edge to edge and cut round whatever stands on it. Send the area's width and depth, and where the guests come in.
What size is a red carpet?
There is no single size: a red carpet is cut from a roll to fit the walk. Entrance runners are usually 1 to 2 m wide, leaving room for posts either side, and as long as the walk, from a few metres at a shop door to tens of metres at a gala. A 10 m red carpet, 1.5 m wide, is 15 m².

Flat needle-punch or velour red carpet?
Flat needle-punch red carpet is light and economical: the disposable kind most events lay once and lift. Velour is the heavier, plusher choice: its short, dense pile gives a richer, velvety face that looks better in photographs, so gala entrances and launches often choose it, and lifted with care it can go down again. Ask us which of the two we can supply in red for your event. For an outdoor red carpet, see outdoor events above.

How do I order exhibition carpet for a show in Dubai?
Send the stand's width and depth, the venue and hall, and the show dates on WhatsApp, or book the free visit in Dubai and we bring samples to you. The build-up and breakdown times matter as much as the size: they set when our fitters lay the carpet and, if you book it, when they lift it. The organiser's floor plan, with your stand marked, helps.
What to send us
- The size: a 3 × 3 m stand (9 m²), and which sides are open to the aisle.
- The venue and hall, and your stand number from the floor plan.
- The job: an exhibition stand, or an event or red carpet with the walk's length and width.
- Build-up and breakdown dates and times.
- Space only or shell scheme, a raised platform or not, and the colour you want.

Book a free visitHow much does exhibition carpet cost per square metre in Dubai?
The price per square metre depends on the carpet you choose. As a rule, needle-punch is the economical kind and velour costs more, and the total follows your stand's floor area in square metres. Send your stand size, the carpet you have in mind and the show dates on WhatsApp and we price that stand, or book the free visit in Dubai and we price it there.
What is event carpet, and how is it different from normal carpet?
Event carpet, exhibition carpet included, is made to go down for a few days and come up again. Most is needle-punch, a thin felt cut off the roll and taped down with no underlay. Fitted carpet for a home is thicker, tufted or woven from yarn, usually laid over underlay and made to last for years; office carpet is mostly carpet tiles on a heavy backing of their own.
How thick is exhibition carpet?
Needle-punch is thin, usually only a few millimetres, which keeps it light, quick to lay and flat enough to wheel trolleys across. Velour is a little thicker and softer. To hide cables or level an uneven hall floor, a stand needs a raised platform, not a thicker carpet.
How is exhibition carpet fixed to the hall floor?
Usually with double-sided carpet tape under the edges and joins. Glue is rarely allowed on a hall floor, and underlay is uncommon, used mainly on a premium stand. Many venues require a tape that peels off without leaving residue; your exhibitor manual says whether yours does, so check it before build-up. On a platform, the carpet is taped to the platform the same way.
How long does it take to lay exhibition carpet?
It depends on the stand. Its size, the joins, the open sides, a platform and whether the hall floor is clear when the fitters arrive all change it. Ask us for the time when you send the size, and book a slot early in build-up, before walls and furniture go up.
Who takes the exhibition carpet up after the show?
We do, on request. Our fitters come back at breakdown, when the stands come down after the show, and once yours is cleared, lift the carpet off the hall floor. Exhibitor manuals usually make each exhibitor responsible for a clear floor, and venues can charge for flooring left behind, so book the lifting with the laying, and ask whether we take the lifted carpet away from the hall.
Can exhibition carpet be used again after the show?
Needle-punch is usually laid once, because tape, foot traffic and build-up dust leave it hard to use again. Velour lifted with care can go down again, and carpet tiles are made to be lifted, stored and relaid, so they suit a stand you rebuild often.
Do you supply carpet to stand builders and event organisers?
Yes. A stand builder or an organiser orders the same way an exhibitor does. Send the floor plan with the stands marked, each stand's size and the build-up times, and ask us for a price.
Do you lay exhibition carpet outside Dubai?
We lay exhibition and event carpet across Dubai. For a show in another emirate, Abu Dhabi included, ask us with the venue and the dates. We confirm case by case whether we can take the job, and nothing is promised until we do.
